What is laser design?

If you can dream it, we can do it.

In 2003, we began to explore the best solutions in laser design and imaging. Entering into the world of lasers was a logical progression for our forward-thinking company! We custom developed a large best-in-class laser (the largest in the region) to provide our clients with unparalleled beauty and limitless design options for their stone or custom design project. The results are spectacular.

Laser imaging differs from traditional sandblasting and hand carving quite dramatically. Due to the high resolution of a laser machine (similar to a printer) it is possible to get hyper-realistic images etched onto a stone. As the etching marks are white, these designs have the best clarity and highest impact against dark-coloured materials. This is why black granite laser designs are simply stunning. However, almost any material can be lasered including glass, wood and metals.

It is quite common to combine traditional sandblasting with laser imaging. For example, we often sandblast inscriptions with names and dates and then add laser images of flowers, portraits or significant memories to create one-of-a-kind stunning memorials.

One of the major benefits of lasering is its ease of maintenance in the years to come. As the etching is not deep compared to hand carved lettering, dirt and molds have very little chance of grabbing a foothold. Laser etchings typically look the same years from now as they do when they are first produced. This is especially germane for low lying stones (like markers) or bases that are likely to be covered in dirt or grass clippings on a regular basis. A laser image will stand the test of time in these placements.

We look forward to working with you to expand the horizon where art and beauty meet state-of-the-art technology.

The results speak for themselves…sheer everlasting beauty.
